Hemp is an annual crop producing:
Leaves – which contain nutrients which return to the ground during growing, can be used as medicine, human and animal food and drinks
Roots – contain a range of useful products which are being recognised has having medical and topical uses. The extensive root structure also aerates and breaks up compacted soils.
Stems – producing high quality bast fibre and high cellulose content hurd/shiv
Seed – natures perfectly balanced food, the seed and oil is highly nutritious and has many industrial applications, fuel, paints and lubricants.
The whole plant produces very high yields of biomass which can be converted via pyrolysis into solid, liquid and gas fuels and industrial feed stocks
